My research lies at the interface between quantum foundations, mathematical physics, and philosophy. I try to shed light on some of the foundational problems of quantum theory, in particular: the quantum-to-classical transition, the measurement problem, the preferred-basis problem, the meaning of (entanglement) entropy in quantum mechanics. I also have a long-term interest in studying the nature of space and time for quantum matter from an informational perspective, in the quest of a quantum theory that does not rely on a pre-existing background spacetime.

More generally, my main motive is passion and exploration of the human mind. I seek to give fullness to the mathematics I use, to load them with meaning, be it physical, informational or philosophical.
