Carlo Rovelli

Rovelli is an Italian theoretical physicist. He has worked in Italy, the United States, France and Canada. His main research topic is in quantum gravity. He is also interested in the history and philosophy of science. Rovelli is Professeur emeritus de Classe Exceptionnel at the Aix-Marseille University, Distinguished Visiting Chair at Perimeter Institute, and Adjoint Professor in the Philosophy Department and member of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy at the Western Ontario University. He is also Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France, Membre Titulaire at the Académie Internationale de Philosophie des Sciences, he holds a Laurea Honoris Causa at the Universidad de San Martin, Buenos Aires, Argentina and has been Honorary Professor at Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China. Rovelli’s popular science books have been translated into more than 40 languages. In 2019, Rovelli was included by Foreign Policy magazine in the list of 100 most influential global thinkers and in 2021 in the list of The World’s 50 Top Thinkers by Prospect magazine.
