My research interest lies at the interface of (quantum) gravity, relational aspects in physics, and thermodynamics. More specifically, my current work focuses on dynamical reference frames, their role in the study of subsystems in constrained quantum systems, gauge theories and gravity, as well as their implications for correlations and thermodynamics. On the quantum gravity side, I am broadly interested in loop quantum gravity and its application to symmetry reduced models such as cosmological and black hole spacetimes with the goal of investigating possible intersections between the above mentioned topics and benefit from the tools and ideas borrowed from them.
