My research focus lies on holography and in particular symmetry reduced models of loop quantum gravity, as the scenario of cosmology and black holes. My specific interest lies on the quantum physics of black holes and together with my colleagues I developed effective canonical models, which allow to understand better the fate of the black hole singularity. I am convinced that understanding the quantum physics of black holes is important for gaining intuition about the interplay of gravitational and quantum physics. In my future work I would like to understand better the quantum properties of black holes including Hawking radiation, what happens to the matter which forms the black hole and what happens to the information trapped by them.
