Xi Dong studies foundational questions about quantum gravity and cosmology using tools from quantum field theory and quantum information theory. He is currently exploring a connection between quantum entanglement and emergent spacetime, especially in the context of better understanding the holographic duality between string theory and quantum field theories. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
